Hi there!
I've just set up and unpacked an N3200 for NAS duty as a light fileserver and sort of backup target.
I checked the contents of the enclosed CD, and the firmware version on it was older than the one on the website. I upgraded to the version from the website.
Now the device tells me to "Please install application pack first." in red letters, whenever I log into the web interface.
When I click on that link, I get taken to the firmware upgrade dialog, which is already at the latest version...
How do i get rid of that link, or where do I get those mysterious applications from?

I have now exactly the same problem as you. The first thing I did was installing the latest firmware (v1.00.03), because on the CD it's only v1.00.01. But it looks like the one on the CD contains the extra applications and these are not in the newer firmware that I downloaded from the Thecus website. I can not install it, because it is an older firmware version and I'm also unable to uninstall the newer firmware or to find the applications seperate. Did you or anyone else find a solution for this problem?

I solved the problem.
I did perform the firmware upgrade before building the raid array. But you have to do it after the raid array is build and you will get the extra functions.
