On 2 occations now I have made a simple settings change to my N4100+ and rebooted and the red ! warning light came on.
The first was when I changed the Host Name to Homer-Server, when I rebooted the red ! light came on. It might of beeped aswell but i'm not sure as it was a couple of weeks ago.
So I changed it back to what it was originally and rebooted and the red ! light went out.
I have since changed it to HomeServer and had no issues. So maybe it didn't like the '-'
And today I changed the IP addy for Lan1 from xxx.xxx.xxx.15 to xxx.xxx.xxx.11 (Lan2 is not used) and when it rebooted the red ! light came on, but no beeps.
I still had full access and there was no IP conflict as I set my router to assign IP addys to individual MAC addresses.
I restarted the N4100+ again and then the red ! light went out.
I checked the RAID status and all is well.
Any one else had this issue?

I had something like this too, but I didn't changed any settings. One day I got home from school, and I saw that red flashing light. I once looked again in the manual, yes its the error light. I logged in to the web interface and everything was ok. RAID health was good, and I looked in the error log but nothing was there. SO I rebooted and it was gone. This happened to me once, and I have my N4100+ for a few months now.
