Hi all, another module called IPERF is ready to be tested - check it out! IPERF ( dast.nlanr.net/Projects/Iperf/) is a tool which helps measuring TCP and UDP connections. This module installs the IPERF server daemon on the N5200 which accepts measuring connections from other clients running the client side of IPERF. I thought some of you wanted to have this module in order to test the raw TCP connection speed from your PC to the N5200. Enjoy it..... Andreas

hey omega I can't enable de IPERF module. I am running 1.00.08 but no matter what I try (install, uninstall, reinstall, reboot) I can't enable the module.
Also I would like to know once enabled should I configure it via ssh or is it already configured to some defaults (what port, etc)?

No idea yet why it doesn't work for you.... Others (despite me) reported success.... You can try this: 1) Install the module (without enabling) 2) Login via ssh 3) run this command manually: /raid/data/module/IPERF/Shell/module.rc start and check the output of that command. If the output doesn't give any usable error message, try this: sh -x /raid/data/module/IPERF/Shell/module.rc start and check this output then. If you're not able to interpret the output, just post it here or send it via PM so I can check it. Good luck.... Andreas

Unfortunately I'm not running FW 1.00.08 anymore, so I can only hope that's not related to the FW version....
Please try the following command in the shell:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/raid/data/module/IPERF/system/bin /raid/data/module/IPERF/system/bin/iperf -s
and check if there is any error output. You can stop the iperf process by pressing CTRL-C.
Another thing: please check if the iperf process is running even though the "module.rc start" was telling failure. Maybe the ProcsRunning function doesn't do the right thing. You can check if iperf is running with the command
ps w | grep iperf
