hi mumin, this patch does only remove the /raid/data/module directory - or more exactly it makes a copy to /raid/data/module.save and removes it afterwards - on a reboot the N5200 should detect that the /raid/data/module is missing and should create it new.
So, if something is messed up with the /raid/data/module directory the patch might clean this up.
So my answere is : Yes, please try it - You could also download it and unpack it - omega always includes the source, so You might want to check what happens.
br Peter

omega, is it possible to post a pseudo patch for the 1.008 firmware? Steps 1 and 2 apparently aren't applicable to me since I've not isntalled any modules before....

If You are talking about the RENMOD, then this is possible for all 1.00.0x versions. The only thing this patch is doing - he renames the /raid/data/module to /raid/data/module.save. br Peter

Problem is after I install the renmod, nothing happens when I install a module, the page just simply refreshes and nothing happens. before I installed the renmod, it shows me a blank module.html page

The RENMOD simply renames the /raid/data/module directory to /raid/data/module.save - You have now to reboot, so that the N5200 creates a new /raid/data/module directory with all the needed files and folders in it. br Peter

I've restarted and still unable to install any modules. I'm trying to install the PUREFTPD_2.00.01 module.

Have You installed the RENMOD as firmware upgrade ? As module it will not work. And then afterwards reboot. The N5200 should then detect that the /raid/data/module folder is not here and create a new one with all the necessary data in it. If this is not working then there is a hard way : - backup all data - remove the raid - change the diskorder, so that every disk is on another place - create everything new I had to do this one time, but fortunatly it was in a very early stage and I had no data on it. br Peter
