Not being a linux kind of guy, I just wondered if my n5200 would need defragging? For the most part, it will be used for large sequential reads, but even then (if it was a Windows box) I'd be inclined to schedule regular defrags just to keep on top of things.
Is it possible to defrag it or will the OS just handle the file system adequately without?

On a ext3 filesystem - thats the one used on the N5200 - you don't need defragmentation - the file system handles all for you. However it's not a bad idea to fill up the filesystem to a maximum of 90%, so that the system has some spare to handle with. br Peter

I've got 1.5TB but only 1GB data so far so it'll be a while before I hit 90%!
