The Thecus N5200 with firmware 1.04 and 1.05 installed with 5 drives in RAID 5 does not work with power management.
I tried these drives:
5 pcs. Samsung SpinPoint T133 HD401LJ 400 GB
Settings: 30, 60 and 120 min. Did not powerdown!
5 pcs. Samsung SpinPoint T166 HD501LJ 500 GB
Settings: 30, 60 and 120 min. Did not powerdown!
5 pcs. Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500 GB
Settings: 30, 60 and 120 min. Did not powerdown!
5 pcs. Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 750 GB
Settings: 30, 60 and 120 min. Did not powerdown!
I contacted Thecus directly trough support but all I got was this stupid (sorry) email:

Dear Customer,
The Disk Power Management function have to enable before work, how to enable Disk Power Management please go to [Storage / Disk] page, then you will see Disk Power Management option in which page, the Disk Power Management will be enable after you select a time.
If you already select a Disk Power Management time but still not work, could you tell me how you test it?
Best Regards!!

Oh boy I know how to enable power management, but it seems that Thecus R&D team cant test, build and release firmware that include a working power management.
So today I went back to Zitech Computer here in Denmark, returned the last bought N5200, and got my money back, and the last one at home is awaiting a solution asap.
Can the rest of you guys in here confirm that power management does work og not - in your setup? And with details such as drive, model etc. Thanks!
Best regards,
Christian M. Andersen
