Sorry I've been out of the loop for a while. Can someone give me a rundown of the differences between my N5200 and the N5200 PRO?
Besides a bit more RAM and maybe a faster CPU what are the differences? Can the 5200 be hacked for iSCSI too?
Thanks much.

Double the RAM, double the CPU power (important for iSCSI performance) .... the big sellers for me were the ability to have multiple RAID arrays, hence multiple iSCSI targets possible (up to 5)

N5200Pro use Intel CeleronM 1.5GHz instead of 600MHz. N5200Pro support multiple Raid. N5200Pro support iSCSI.
The hardware structure is different so I don't think you can hack N5200 to support iSCSI.
I think multiple Raid is the biggest selling point for Pro. If you don't need it go for N5200.

as far as I understood some discussions in the firmware forum, just putting the 2.00.00.11 beta firmware or so onto the plain 5200 you get working iscsi. could be wrong though, didn't read too closely since it didn't interest me.

Gideon, you're right, with a beta firmware (should be the 2.00.01), iSCSI was fully operational on N5200 nonPRO.
I think the two reasons, why it should not "work" on the old model is: - Marketing facts: Who should buy the PRO if the normal version does the same work? - Performance facts: Multiple Raids and iSCSI are more CPU-intense and maybe the data throughput is a little poor with the 600MHz Celeron... but worth a test! :-)

you could upgrade the ram and hack the CPU to run at 800Mhz(it's just a jumper change)
It should help with iSCSI
I did hear that some 5200 CPU's are in sockets ;-)
