Hi,
I have recently bought a 5200BR PRO I have 5 WD 750GB disks in Raid5 First, every drive actual space is 715GB x 4 = 2860GB + 1 for parity. Why my voume lists 2500GB ?? and not 2860 ?? that's a lot of them .. in raid configuration i am using 100% of disks
Then, if I play music in iTunes and copy files to the device music stops al the time. Do you mean that a storage device born to be a media server don't allow me to play media files when I copy files to it?
I need very soon a fix. I use it through AFS on an iMac with gigabit ethernet and full duplex. No jumbo frames.
thanx ..... for any help

I read the linked page but:
- I didn't quite get how to run that command. - I have a mac - The link to install the module that has ut_tune2fs gives me a blank page
is there anyone so gentle to explain how to run it?
thank you.
- then .. how about not being able to listen to music while copying to the drive?
thanx

Hi there,
thank you very much. I found all the stuff, and installed all of them. I also realized that I can ssh through the terminal .. then .. I am failing to login, it says the password I give doesn't match ... Shall I login using the root user? If so what password shall I use?
thanx again .. L.

The password of the root user is only known by Thecus. The standard password for the sys user is sys - if you have forget it you are able to change it or reset it to default one via the module property page of the SYSUSER module. br Peter
