Me again.
I tried to update the Allnet.
The n2100convert.2.1.07.bin worked fine.
After this, without reboot, i tried to downgrade to n2100_FW.2.1.06.bin from Thecus. I had the hope that it would allow a downgrade. I was wrong.
A message is telling me that my installed firmware 2.1.07 can not be downgraded to 2.1.06.
I think i will have to wait until a 2.1.07 or higher is released by thecus.
My All6500 is ok after a reboot. So it doesn't seem to harm if you install the converter fw without upgrading afterwards.

All is not lost. There are still numerous ways to do the conversion.
As for the allnet being 2.1.07 I can only assume that they did it as a way to hinder the conversion to the thecus.
From here my preferred way to do the conversion would be to alter the thecus 2.1.06 firmware to be 2.1.07 and then load that.
You'll need a linux environment. One which boots from CD should be sufficient (as long as it has the des program). I use my Thecus.
Firstly start off with the 2.1.06 firmware.
