Install as a module, the thecus will say installation failed (don't worry, it worked) disable the print server enable the print server now the disks should spin down (if they normally would without the print server) www.siteblade.com/PrintSpinDown.zipTested with Printserver 1.0.02 on firmware 2.0.04, to undo the fix remove and reinstall the PrinterServer module. - Anthony

Did you just fix the "RootCertDuration 0"? or is there some other fix you did?

yeah, it's the rootcertduration setting, it overwrites the cupsd.conf when installed (mostly did it for those not comfortable with ssh / vi)
I wrapped it as a module installer and got it to signal install failed after it overwrote the file, as it didn't need a module setting page or anything.

Perhaps you should also inform Thecus and tell them to update the module.

This is a result of thecus ignoring my threads on their semi-official forum on hexus (it is monitored by thecus), I'll give it a few more days then e-mail them, do you have a better contact name than support@... ?

... or you could patch the module yourself

I've no idea how to decrypt the 4100+ official modules (.app), they're not the standard tar.gz's renamed, any pointers?
I've opened up a support ticket on their site now.

So, what's the manual edit fix via SSH for those of us who are brave enough?

Add the line:-
RootCertDuration 0
to /raid/module/PrinterServer/system/etc/cups/cupsd.conf
then disable and re-enable the PrinterServer module

The modules may be decrypted the same way as the firmware, only the key is different (AppModule).

to be executed on the thecus itself
1) des -k AppModule -D module.app module.mod 2) tar zxf module.mod 3) your problem ;D 4) tar zcf module.mod ./module 5) not necessary
replace 'module' with actual name in points 1) to 4)
