Hello,
Currently I use the 4100 NAS in a Linux environment and I have some troubles between Linux user/group and NAS user/group.
example: on Linux machine : user toto , gid 1000 , uid 1000 on NAS : user toto , gid 99 , uid 1002 ...
Please add the following features in the next release:
- possibility to specify the uid in the user creation form. - possibility to specify the gid in the group creation form.
Regards
Bigcrypto

Seconded! I found the same issue, only co-incidentally it causes my Linux server to shown all files on the NAS as being owned by clamav in my case.

The better solution IMHO would be to provide NFS V4 which allows user mapping......
