No, I wouldn't recommend WD5000YS drives. My N5200 has 5 x WD5000YS in RAID5 and it has crashed three times in 12 months and produces lots of false thingy I/O error messages in the log. I suspect it was the 07.02E07 firmware in the drives. Upgraded the firmware to 09.02E09 and now hoping for the best.
My N4100+ runs OK in RAID5 for now one month with the following HDDs: -Hitachi DeskStar model HDT725050VLA360 - 500GB -Samsung SpinPoint T166 model HD501LJ - 500GB and WD Caviar model WD5000AAKS which is already mentioned above. Patrice

I am about to upgrade from an N3200PRO with WD10EADS that has been running flawless to a N4100PRO. I need recommendations for 2TB drives. I was going to go with WD20EADS but turned off with some of the stuff I read. Considering Samsung F3EG. Official compatibility list includes only the 1TB. Anyone used these 2TB Samsung drives. Any feedback would be appreciated.
