that's because the script checks via which ethernet interface you connect, e.g. it gets the local IP and does not handle NAT at all. The 'Click Here' will therefore only work within the local network. Maybe switching to HTTP_REFERER would be a better idea, but this may introduce other issues.

Hi, I understand you can't show the external IP address, but it wasn't picking up the correct internal IP address correctly... it seems fixed at using 192.168.1.100 but that has always been the IP of my PC and the Thecus always had 192.168.1.105...

that's odd, I've never seen this before Anyhow, I always wanted to replace the code with something that works for both local network and external network accesses. Especially since the same code is meanwhile used in FIREFLY, WEBDAV and DONKEY. Please install the latest WEBDAV and check the options page. Does it show the correct IP or hostname for webdav access? For this new revision I'm using a combination of HTTP_REFERER and the hostname set for the particular box, e.g. by yourself.

Getmythe and Stevenh,
Many thanks for your work on DONKEY Module, I have got it running on my N2100.
The only problem, as a Windows XP user who has no experience in Linux, is how to manage the downloaded files in the "incoming directory(ies)".
I do not know if it is due to the fact that the DONKEY is run in jailed chroot, I could not manage (move, modify, edit, rename, delete, etc.) the files under the incoming directory(ies) even if I could see the files via Windows Explorer. Would you mind pointing out the way to manage these files? Would running linux commands on the Donkey web interface ( http://[NAS 2100 ip]:4080 be one of the feasible ways? Would there be some GUI like Windows Explorer that I can use?
Many thanks and regards, Avanti33

Hi Avanti33,
most likely the files cannot be modified since they created within the chroot and therefore do not have acl properties set. Did you define the donkey share with public access?

Hi Getmythe,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
My problem is solved. It's something to deal with ACL. Thanks for the time and patience.

HI there, first I wanted to thank you both for the Donkey module. It worked like a charm on my N2100 with FW 2.1.05 but after I updated to FW 2.1.06 the module is not working anymore It just starts up and then quits itself. In the mlnet.log I couldn't find any hints. Any suggestions Thanx for your help in advance, murx007

I can't help you with this one as I'm still on fw 2.1.05 and have no plans to move to 2.1.06 (I have no need for nagging requests when installing modules). Try to log in via ssh and execute the donkey start script by hand. You may see some warning or error message which could help in debugging the issue /raid/module/DONKEY/shell/module.rc start

Hi getmythe, thanx for the idea with the manual start but there is no warning or any other message. I guess I have to try to revert to the old Firmware or just wait for the next update to the wonderful module.

Hello and thanks for this great module ! i'd just like to know how hard it would be to release an updated version of this module (with MLdonkey version 2.9.2 or 2.9.1 ?). MLDonkey 2.8.5 that was used to build the module is now out of date and is known to suck for BT (see mldonkey patch notes for 2.8.7 : 2007/06/03: version 2.8.7 = tag release-2-8-7 5988: BT: Completely parse handshake packet of newer BT clients (thx to Berni) - this patch should fix the serious performance problem with BT downloads) I'm also having 10 seconds internet interruptions every 5-10 minutes when mldonkey is running on my N2100, maybe updating mldonkey version could fix this (yes i'm very optimistic). thx

Found out that disabling KAD solved the disconnections issue just letting ppl who may be having the same problem know. Still a better handling of BT download would be awesome

MLDonkey 2.9.2 compiled with Global Shares, Fasttrack, FileTP and BitTorrent Support will be available within the next couple of hours. Only torrent support has been tested to work with Sancho, all other features should work though. Download link www.freeside.ch/thecus/N2100-DONKEY-1.1.00.tgzhave fun getmythe

I have just bought the Thecus N2100 and it now comes with firmware 2.1.06. Does your module work with firmware 2.1.06?
I've tried downgrading to firmware 2.1.05 but keep getting a message that it's not posible. Is there some way to downgrade if your module isn't working on 2.1.06?
