N1200 has a GE (WAN) port and 4 port 100M (LAN) ports. If the N1200 can fragment the jumbo frame to multiple 1.5K packets (compatible with PPPoE), then any PC connects to GE can benefit both high speed N1200 access and retain internet connection.
But jumbo frame fragmentation is not popular topic, cannot find much information at the internet.

To be clear, you want to activate the jumbo frame mode on the gigabit ethernet wan port and communicate with the others devices under the 4 ports left (100Mb) where the jumbo frame isn't supported.
I think your n1200 operates in the osi layer 3 between the gigabit port and the others one, so can fragment your packets.
To test it your gigabit link with jumbo frames : ping -f -l XXXXXX n1200IpOrName XXXX < Jumbo frame Max

Thanks for your input. I will try this evening. (I am @ GMT+8). FYI, N1200 does not support any packet forwarding between the GE and the 100M port. Of course, both ports can access the N1200 itself. When I post this thread, I was expecting extensive modification, just want to get the right direction.
