I just got my N5550 setup today and was looking to get some apps installed onto it but when I go to " Application Server > Auto App Installation " the list is completely blank and when I click rescan it scans for a minute but nothing comes up. Is there any way to get this list populated or am I doing something wrong?
My apologies if this has been already posted but I did try searching and did not find an answer.

Are you sure your NAS have acces on internet ? Anyway, the list on OS 5 is very poor in app and is not updated. You can download many modules from Thecus App Store and then manually install them from Application Server > Manual App Installation. Another option is to upgrade your NAS to latest OS7 version, a completely redesign operating system which support also Automatic Module Installation. Click for Thecus OS7 with live DEMO

Thanks for the reply!
Please forgive my ignorance but exactly how to you give the the Thecus N5550 internet access?
I have the N5550 setup on my local network and all my devices can see and access it just fine. I tried searching the Thecus knowledgebase but it was not clear. It did talk about creating a Thecus ID (which I have not yet done) but I don't know if that is required before you give the NAS internet access?
I am coming from a Netgear ReadyNAS 104 to the Thecus N5550 and have noticed quite the difference in the setup, that one did not require any special setup for internet access.

I was able to get some apps manually installed but if you could provide me assistance in giving the N5550 internet access that would be much appreciated.
Thanks again.
