Hi there All, (Cross-posting this to forum.thecus.com) My N5200B Pro is running FW 2.01.10.17 beta and has been stable since April 2013 with my current configuration. I’ve this weekend tried to configure MCS (Multiple Connected Session) from the Microsoft iSCSI initiator for Windows 2008 R2 (to enable round robin load balancing across both NICs) and found that FW 2.01.10.17 beta doesn’t support more than one initiator connection to my single target – checking the target properties in the Microsoft iSCSI Initiator dialog indicates “maximum allowed connections” is 1. According to the release note for FW 2.01.09 under section “limitations” 5a (see www.fajo.de/main/en/thecus/firmware) the limit is supposed to be 8. Was this changed for 2.01.10.17 beta? Furthermore my understanding is that the previous FW releases only support 512B iSCSI block sizes (and thus the volume size is limited to 2TB) which I believe prevents me from stepping back to a previous FW version. Could someone confirm if a later FW, say 3.00.04.05 beta, would permit me multiple connections to a single target? Alternately, how could I go about adjusting this limit? Or can I step back to a previous FW now that I’ve already configured 4KB block sizes? I’m still trawling through the forums for answers but hopefully someone would point me in the right direction…
