Hi,
I unsuccessfully tried to ping my windows pc from the N2100!
nmblookup can resolve the name/ip but ping cannot!
I looked in forums but the only solution was to edit hosts file which is not an option (because of DHCP) or set up a DNS server.
Is there an easy way to setup this? When no that this would be a good addition in an upcoming module/firmware!

PS: I need this to be able to set a local name in the SMTP Server property of the N2100 instead of its IP which changes with every reboot!

Wouldn't it be easier just to give your SMTP server a static address instead of using DHCP on it?
Otherwise without either some sort of DNS to give the (ever changing) IP of your SMTP box you will not be able to do it all coummunications are done by IP address so if a name is used it first needs to be resolved to an address - this would usually first look at hosts file then look at the defined DNS servers for the adapter to see if they know how to turn the name into and address - if none do then it fails.
