0. This is just a beta, not official release. 1. Added Mac OSX Lion support. 2. File info: 2011/10/17 19:00 40,373,568 N5200_N5200PRO_FW_beta_2.00.18.8.bin MD5(N5200_N5200PRO_FW_beta_2.00.18.8.bin)= 6c3e6cbd844d12cda705830fb04cdd34
Change log for V2.00.18.7 1. Added rsync target function into NAS firmware. 2. Added 4K alignment to support Advanced Format Technology HDD ( up to 2TB only ) while creating a new RAID. Note: a. Mixing up 4K alignment HDD and non-4K HDD will bring the NAS troubles. The RAID will be unstable when doing so. b. RAID rebuild / migrate : 4K alignment HDD are not allowed to be added into a non 4K alignment RAID disk set. It means, mixing up 4K alignment HDD and non-4K HDD will bring the NAS troubles. The RAID will be unstable when doing so. 3. Support up to 2TB drive, and N5200 series DO NOT support 3TB drive for create / rebuild / migrate.
Change log for V2.00.18.6 1. Fixed that NAS could schedule power off while RAID creating / rebuilding.
Change log for V2.00.18.5 1. Fixed the folder name issue that some Simplified Chinese share folders are not accessible via FTP. 2. Fixed the issue that MAC saw a 536.9MB file thru SMB connection even if the real size is 1MB. 3. Added Rsync backup module support.
Adding to this relatively old post for now rather than create a new thread:
- We are having major issues with Lion (up to 10.7.4) only, setting the "hidden" attribute on copy to the 5200 (via SMB since we're on a mixed network), even when copied through the commandline with cp -rX, i.e. do NOT copy eXtended attributes.
The files will be OK for a few minutes, but then will automagically disappear from the Finder, and the terminal reveals the "hidden" flag has been set ?!?
The weird thing is that it 1) affects random files (I can not find any difference in permissions etc.) 2) but they are consistently the same ones ?!? It does not happen in (Snow) Leopard, they are not even listed as hidden. I'm stumped...
-> Does this release fix at least that issue?
-> Longer term: now that Thecus seems to have to moved to "Thecus NAS FW" 3.x and 5.x and the .txt files don't list the 5200 specifically, is the V2.00.18.8 the end of the line for the 5200?
Hello, Unfortunately I can’t help you with your main problem but if its firmware you’re after I have beta 2.01.10.4 I’ve been using it for a little over 3 years now with no issues at all. Want to try it?
