yep, it was the #!!@# .htaccess file. I removed that, and now I'm getting feedback.
The feedback I got is a little hard for me to follow... I don't see any mention of symlinks. Perhaps you can help me a bit more with that?
**EDIT: I did find one symlink from /wipha/libs/smarty to /3rdparty/..... fixed that by copyng the folder in place of the symlink for the moment. I made a symlink with ln -s, but using that, I couldn't get anything of the site to come up, and only got the following warnings:
I did a bit more digging, and found several things of interest:
1) use of .htaccess is frowned upon in the apache2 docs, because it apparently multiplies the server load several times, having to look for the .htaccess file recursively with each file access. Hence, on a very "non-grunty" processor like the n2100's, this would be doubly ill-advised.
2) It seems at first glance like maybe this build of apache can't deal with some standard commands in the standard way. Upon putting the contents of the .htaccess file into httpd.conf, I tried to restart apache, and got the following error:
Thecus_N2100:~# /opt/apache/bin/apachectl graceful
Syntax error on line 66 of /opt/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Invalid command 'order', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration
Thecus_N2100:~#
The text around line 66 is:
This is standard, according to the apache2 docs, and putting this directly in httpd.conf is logically equivalent to putting it in .htaccess, so I'm at a momentary loss as to why it's throwing out an error.
Meanwhile,
I without the .htaccess page, I am able to get some, little limited functionality. Pages are showing up, but not functioning properly. For example:
