I was really put-out when I plugged my usb drive into the "one-button backup" port and pressed the button, only to watch it do nothing. ESPECIALLY after reading about mac compatibility in the docs and on the box. Of course, this was because all my drives are HFS+ format. The thing that made me a die-hard Ximeta customer was that their usb/network drives would use whatever filesystem you wanted to throw at them... In my case, HFS+. This has some serious advantages as far as character limitations, and setting permissions. Besides, in some configurations, it would make recovery much easier. It would also make the disks more versatile. For example, one could remove HFS+ disks from an older, prior raid configuration, and insert them into the new n2100 (AFAIK).
