I currently have an N4100pro with 4 HDDs, 3 set up in the active RAID and one configured as a spare. I need to increase my capacity and want to add the spare to the active RAID configuration. I read that it can be done, but it's not working for me. I removed it from the box and put it back in. All I get is the option to make it a spare again. Has anyone seen this problem and if so, how was it resolved?
I do have the latest firmware installed.

I too have been trying to research how to to do this and think it relies with Raid Migration
From the manual Migrating a RAID Once a RAID volume has been created, you may want to move it to other physical drives or change the RAID array all together. To migrate a RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5 or RAID 6 volume, follow the steps below: 1.From the RAID Configuration screen, click Migrate RAID. 2.A list of possible RAID migration configurations will be listed. Select the desired migration scheme and click Apply. 3.The system will begin migrating the RAID volume.
It goes onto show that Migrating from a Raid 5 - 3 Disk to Raid 5 4 Disk can be completed online [ONLINE] [RAID 5] HDDx3 to [RAID 5] HDDx4
Has anyone completed this - at present I have 3 x 2TB drives and want to buff it up to 4 x 2TB. I just don't want to be the first.
Any thoughts.

yup this is correct
you have to migrate from a 3-disk raid 5 to a 4-disk raid 5.
data is maintained, but always the chance of corruption.
i migrated my full 3x1.5tb raid 5 to 4x1.5tb raid 5 with no issues, took about 2-3 days.
