For bittorrent to run smoothly you need to forward the bittorrent ports (6881 and 6882 by default) to your NAS in your router.
It is also adviceable to not use the default ports (as some ISP's block them) and change them to something else (46881 and 46882 for example).
It should be possible to do that with a client like sancho, but for some reason that does not work all the time.
to do it manually: ssh in to the NAS change the ports in /raid/mldonkey/bittorrent.ini go to /raid/modules/cfg/module.rc restart the service with ./DONKEY.rc restart

Chemist,
well done on this new module, you are possibly the only one left on the n2100 forums that is capable of creating new modules.
Do you have the time to create a tutorial? There are a number of people looking to update the rtorrent module. It would be great if you could help, either by instruction or actually compiling the new version.
thanks

you are possibly the only one left on the n2100 forums that is capable of creating new modules. Hardly; the mldonkey module is very simple to upgrade. I just unpack all the stuff, download the ARM compiled module from mldonkey.sourceforge.net/forums/viewforum.php?f=16 and repack it again. I am certainly not *the* guy to create complete new modules or cross-compile stuff. Not that I don't want to, I just don't have the time ... For those interested; I do have a copy of the toolchain; if you want it let me know !
