I've recently purchased an N4100 (not the Pro or + , its actually an Evesham branded Evesham Silverstor XS)
I've yet to fire it up to install discs but have a couple of question
1. Can I easily upgrade the firmware to the latest Thecus firmware for this unit (I have another Evesham Branded N2100 which had a custom firmware and needed unix shell commands to upgrade to the later Thecus firmware)
2. I currently have 2 spare 500GB drives, if I install these and build a RAID1 array can I add further 500GB discs and rebuild the array up to RAID5 without losing all the data installed??
3. Can I later incrementally increase the size of the volume (one disc at a time) by replacing discs. If I move from 4x500GB to 4x1TB over time will the volume increase or still show as 4x500GB with half the disc space wasted??
Sorry for the simple question but I guess I have to start somewhere

Yes it's a very simple questions and I believe there is many people here in this user group that can answer these questions.
I wonder why they don't?
