Hi I initially installed the smart utility to set up the N2200 and can now manage the system using my browser. What I can't do is run the smart utility since the first time. When I try to run it, I get the error message 'An exception of class NilObectException was not handled. The application must shut down.' This is closely followed by a warning box, which appears twice saying 'attempt to write to a readonly database'. Then the icon in the tool bar at the bottom of the screen disappears. That's it, won't go. Any clues? Bob

apart from setting up the N2200, in my opinion the Smart Utility had no use for me, and I found problems setting it as a startup application.
I love the N2200 hardware, however their software needs tweaking.
If you can access your NAS from your PC and internet browswer, that is all you need to be able to do anyway. Any third party software you may use, eg Second Copy, can see the NAS if you can see it in your browser.
