I'm trying this on the 7700pro
It all runs up and I get to the webgui, but when I try to add a torrent I get the following log message:
JS error: [http://192.168.1.100/modules/RTORRENT/www/js/content.js: 73} Permission denied.
The offending line in the js file is:
'<form action="addtorrent.php" id="addtorrenturl" method="post" target="uploadfrmurl">'+
I have checked permissions on the /data/raid/RTORRENT directory, and also made sure all scripts in the RTORRENT module directory are executable.
But this doesn't help - anyone any idea on what the problem could be?

Any chance of upgrading rTorrent to version 0.12.7/0.8.7?
Also upgrading the plugins to newer version?

just installed rtorrent 0.004 module on my N4200 Pro with firmware 5.00.04, only other modules installed were SYSUSER and SSHD (for N5200) and it appears to be working perfectly.
Love the work, keep it up. This is x1000 better than DLM2

There appears to be some weirdness when uninstalling and reinstalling. I uninstalled due to some change I made to .rtorrent.rc and when it reinstalled the old .rtorrent.rc and sessions directory still existed. It was a simple fix to delete the session files.
I suggest that this is a problem with the NAS firmware rather than the Module but worth keeping in mind when updating.
What version of rtorrent is in use? I'm trying to do some mods to the rtorrent.rc. I always like having an active directory as the watch directory and then moved to a "Finished" as it's neater.
Thanks BRETT

hi guys quick question - does this module survive the upgrade to firmware 5 or does it require an uninstall - update and then reinstall? Thanks in advance

If it requires re-installation why it is a problem for you?

re-installation is not a problem, but continuing current installation is even better, hate to to fiddle with things that are not broken can be harder to chase down issues if it breaks during firmware update. That is my reason for putting the question out there ..

Do you know if "opening" the management of the RTorrent outside the home could be secured? (setting up the ADSL router to forward the specific port to the NAS) Is it possible to setup a password for RTorrent? Or what other ways are there to manage the server from outside/a PC or iPad in 3G?
(btw the web interface works almost perfectly with my iPad Safari browser - not, instead, with the Atomic browser)

Ive been assured by my more skilled friends that it would be rather easy to secure a port to the webui and also have authentication on webui login, ive not been bothered by such, as i switch on rt only when using and switch it of again shortly after, RT seems to prevent the drives from going to spindown, and im not a great lover of keeping them active 24 hours per day.

Auto unpacking of completed torrents Auto moving of completed torrents to directories of your choice Scheduled start / stop times Ratio grouping control Full RSS support with torrent matching no reliance of 3rd party software to get features like transmission does using transmission remote dotnet for example Torrent creation ( to upload new torrents to sites ) Ipad support for webui interface
