It could well be dns related. You can check by sshing to the box and doing ping www.google.comand see if it works. You can see your dns entry by doing : cat /etc/resolv.conf (The one that is nameserver). It should match (well usually) the one on your pc. You can find this out by doing Start -> Run -> cmd -> ipconfig. The nameserver for the thecus can be changed in the web interface. Hope this helps, Dybuk

Means that rtorrent is not running most likely.
Try :
/raid/data/module/RTORRENT/shell/module.rc start
or a reboot.... or a module disable/enable.

/raid/data/module/RTORRENT/shell/module.rc
did that...it shows Usage: /raid/data/module/RTORRENT/shell/module.rc {start|stop|restart|boot|statu s}
After that, can't enter any next command
then I disable and re-enable the module. I even reinstall it...It is showing this persistent error msg

erm... now you are into trouble shooting mode... try the following :
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/raid/data/module/RTORRENT/system/lib:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH} export TERM=vt100 export HOME=/raid/data/module/RTORRENT/system/etc cd /raid/data/module/RTORRENT/system/bin ./rtorrent
and see if you get any errors?
If not try the web interface again.

Hmmm that was doing the start up manually.
Replace the last line of that now with :
./screen -dmS rtorrent ./rtorrent
And tell me of any errors.

Hi
I have replaced the last line with ./screen -dmS rtorrent ./rtorrent
But now, it doesn't start rtorrent and keep reverting back to this command line
raid/data/module/RTORRENT/system/bin#
PS: The webui seem to be able work now after I started it...No more error on that...What is ./screen -dmS rtorrent ./rtorrent for?

The screen -dmS command is supposed to daemonise the rtorrent command.
Such that it makes it run in the background. So I would expect you to get a prompt back.
Check if its running with :
ps | grep rtorrent

it show
756 S ./SCREEN -dmS rtorrent ./rtorrent 4004 S ./rtorrent 328 S grep rtorrent.
does it means that it is working?

Does the web interface connect?
If it does its a bit of a weird one. Because all the commands you have run are the commands that the module.rc file calls when the module is enabled (or started).
