I have three NS2100s. They work well, but run kind of warm (100~115F) in a 70F room. It would be nice if there was a firmware switch to run the fans at full speed.

yes definitely - fan control needs to be added. I have actually modded mine to include 2 extra fans.

It would REALLY be nice if there was a way in future firmware to simply set a bit that says "run the fan at full speed". I realise you can hack the fan and wiring to do this manually; but would prefer if you cuold just set it on the admin page.
(The fan runs at full speed when the unit is first powered up)
Any chance of this happeninng or should I just start modding?
Thanks so much

I asked Thecus if manual fan control was possible and got the following reply: Dear Customer, Thank you for purchased Thecus N2100!! Cause of N2100's hardware limitation, the fan control function can not be supported with N2100. But we will transfer your proposal to our PM. Maybe the next product will include this function. Have a good day, Thecus technical support. Probably time to start modding
