G'day:
So far I've been able to map the folders on the N5500 so that they're accessible either by the IP address, or by the default workgroup name "MyGroup." I don't like other people naming my workgroup(s).
A good point of reference would be page 39 in the manual.
I've seen page 80, and it would seem that I can change the workgroup in that screen, but I want nothing to do with ADS. It's not a Domain.
I'm using a Samba Workgroup, and my preference is to allow the Thecus N5500 to join my existing workgroup.
Is that possible?
Thanks

This is exactly what I'd like to be able to change as well.
I have an N5500 and am setting up a N4200 which has the same issue.
If I'm not using AD or an NT domain, how does one change the workgroup name to something other than mygroup?
Thanks for any suggestions

Just put your workgroup name in the ADS/NT confuguration page, leave the ADS/NT support disabled and apply your settings. br Peter
