Hello, This week I bought the N4100PRO. A fine piece of equipment when I opened the box. However, setting it up for use is not easy. Probably due to lack of knowledge from my side. Hopefully somebody can help me with some information. I want to load the bay with 4 x 1Tb Samsung disks. Three of them are empty and the 4th one contains data. The disc is used in another computer. The data on it must be copied to the raid-discs. My questions are the following: - While preparing to build the RAID1 of RAID5 (using 3 x 1Tb) it is possible to choose the percentage of used data. What does this percentage mean and what is a wise percentage to use?
- Is it possible to ad the 4th disc and to copy the data to the RAID-discs?
- Is it possible to have a RAID5-set with 3 x 1TB and a separate disc (the 4th one)
Sorry for just jumping into this usergroup without a proper introduction, but thanks for who is willing to help me. Greetz, Marcel

Im not a guru here but i believe you would have to keep the data on the computer, build a Raid 5 with the 3 other disks, transfer the data and then expand the existing raid by adding the now backed up 4th disk (the original data disc). This would take some time but at least your data could remain safe. There might be another way to do it but ill have to let someone more knowledgeable walk you thru it.
Cheers, Reek
