Hi everybody,
it is time that i need your help.
My N2100 is (nearly) not working any more. I soldered the pins for the serial interface and now i have some facts that i simply do not understand.
Turning the N2100 on i can see the boot process in the terminal window. So far. So good. But no matter if i interrupt boot (and remain in redboot console) or if the N2100 boots the normal firmware:
The machine stops working after 30 to 60 seconds. It simply stops responding.
If i remain in redboot the machine is pingable and i can type in the console. But after some time ping stops and the console freezes.
What i did until now:
- Cleand the board - detached the hdds - Used a big fan to cool the board - booted with and without network cable - tried normal firmware and redboot - changed RAM module (original from N2100, original from ALL6500 and a 512 MB module)
Nothing makes a difference!
Anybody of you out there has an idea what i could try? I do not know redboot very well. Any testing i can do? (The diag runs smooth if the machine lives long enough)
Every hint welcome
