I simply installed the ssh 4 module.
Did the reset user password and flushed the keys...

Hi,
try ssh root@192.168.1.100 . If this does not work try to reset the password again.
If it still does not work post all the info about your login. Connection established or not? Asked for username or not? Asked for Password or not? Error message?

hi, now i managed to log and ssh from a remote site. what i can't do is the portforwarding to be able to use mldonkey from remote. First I log via ssh and then I do the ssh root@xxxyyy.dyndns.org -L 4080:127.0.0.1:4080 or ssh root@xxxyyy.dyndns.org -L 4080:192.168.1.100:4080 first it asks me the password, than the password for the ssh is not working and i tried the password for the normal web interface or the router wich is the same, and in the end it connects to the CLI interface of the router:
xxxx@xxxxnetbook:~$ sudo ssh XXXX.dyndns.org [sudo] password for gnappo: The authenticity of host 'XXXX.dyndns.org (94.196.111.43)' can't be established. RSA key fingerprint is 25:6a:ac:d0:91:4d:a1:fb:20:76:ff:00:dd:31:61:11. Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? yes Failed to add the host to the list of known hosts (/root/.ssh/known_hosts). root@XXXX.dyndns.org's password: HD-Rete-XYZ:~# ssh root@XXXX.dyndns.org -L 4080:127.0.0.1:4080 root@XXXX.dyndns.org's password: Permission denied, please try again. root@XXXX.dyndns.org's password: Permission denied, please try again. root@XXXX.dyndns.org's password:
bind: Address already in use
channel_setup_fwd_listener: cannot listen to port: 4080 Could not request local forwarding. DSL Modem CLI Copyright (c) 2004 Texas Instruments, Inc. cli> enable Password: ***** New priv level = 5 cli# route
anyone has an idea??

Hi,
Are you sure the password used to access 'XXXX.dyndns.org (94.196.111.43)' is correct ? It seems not. 'XXXX.dyndns.org (94.196.111.43)' may have limitation on the allowed users keys (.ssh/authorized_keys) and you are not using any of those.

well, I think i'm using the right password, cause mosto of the time (always i would say), if i only ssh root@xxxyyy.dyndns.org i can log in to the nas, i can browse it's directories..and so on. Its just the port forwarding that dosn't work It says something like bind address or cannot forward listener or such..
Help

...First I log via ssh and then I do the ssh root@xxxyyy.dyndns.org -L 4080:127.0.0.1:4080 This is simply wrong. You only need to login once with ssh root@xxxyyy.dyndns.org -L 4080:127.0.0.1:4080. If you login before and execute the portforwarding on the nas itself it must crash. Again: No need to login to your router. Directly ssh to your NAS with portforwarding like stated above. If you can not ssh to your NAS directly you have to ensure this first (via ssh port redirection on your router. e.g. port222 -> NAS.22) wengi
