I can't find any info on the daughterboard that the drives connect to, so can someone verify that it is not a raid controller?
If so, then can someone shed some light on how the n2100 actually creates the raid? Does it use mdadm? Mdadm is installed.
I see /dev/hda-d and sda-I (what the heck??) as well as md0-4
I'm not versed enough in linux RAID to know why those are all listed, instead of just sda-b and md0.
ALSO, if raid is indeed constructed by mdadm, does anyone know where I can find the script or .conf file that it uses to build them?

Thanks for the response. Wow... I can't believe I didn't find that as I searched! I had forgot about the outcome of that. I was sure it was mdadm, but was led to believe it may not be by the results of my current project. Here's my current project: I'm wanting to move the existing array to another computer. In this case, a Dell Poweredge 700 server, running Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty). Under the assumption that it was a software raid, built by mdadm, I took the two drives, and plugged them into the 2 intergrated SATA ports. The individual devices are recognized in gparted as sda and sdb, along with partitions 1-3. However, this happens: Poweredge:~$ sudo mdadm --assemble --scan mdadm: No arrays found in config file or automatically THAT is what led me to question that it was created by mdadm. If someone could weigh in on the rest of this problem, here, or at ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=7519604#post7519604, I will make a new thread with instructions for anyone else who wants to do this.
