I was looking on-line for a PXE Install server, then i thought this would take the Thecus 5200B pro to the next level. I mean have your images on your NAS because space wouldn't be a problem, you could always connect it. The network speed wouldn't be a problem because of the Gigabit network. I saw this to install it on a Linux Ubuntu system. ubuntu-tutorials.com/2007/10/11/how-to-configure-pxe-network-booting-on-ubuntu-for-network-based-installations/The software you need to install are TFTP server Apache DHCP server the Apache and DHCP server requirements we already have although i wouldn't know if they both would work fine with it. The TFTP server however is available for Linux so there must a module be made for it. If anybody has some comments on this please post it. So we can discus this wish to make it more clearly.

Is Opsi especially made to use Microsof based OSes? or could you use Microsoft based Images as well as Unix, Linux like.
I like software that isnt only used on 1 or 2 platforms. But that you can use it no matter what the OS is.
In this case i dont use Microsoft Based OS's anymore, It's best that everybody could use it no matter what OS those images are.

Im not pursuing this anymore. Installing PXE server is alot easier after installing your own version of Linux on the NAS.
