I did google it an d nothing This is the answare i get from thecus support: " Thanks for your mail. The N1200 doesn't support such method to flahs system, and this operaiton would make physical damage on N2100, thus we would recommend contact with your Thecus reseller/distributor for RMA service directly.
Thecus TPE team is having a couple of days off from Jan 22nd to Feb 1st for the Chinese New Year. During these days, we still handle some simple technical issues remotely; however, for some cases which will need a specific network environment to test, we will do them as soon as we start working on Feb 2nd. We deeply appreciate your patient and apologize for any inconveniences brought to you! "
Crap. If there is no jtag port it means the flashing must be don over WAN or LAN.
Any idea?

Ok, First let me make this clear. I am and various others are most likely sick of helping you, because you don't listen and you appear to not think before taking actions.
However, I figure if I provide this help to unbrick your N1200 you will stop whining and hassling people who don't owe you anything.
Ok, from the information in the datasheet clocking section and r31920 section on overclocking the CPU, the Thecus's N1200 is PBGA.
This means the pinout is on page 74 out of 100 of the datasheet.

I quit. Maibe somebody will manage to write a tutorial on how to debrick the device in the next years. Anyway. jtag is nower to be found, i looked over the mitx board, it looks like beside the jtag and programmer the user needs also some configuration files witch obviously thecus is not making them public. Also i think somehow the bord is flashed using the 3-d usb port hidden in the case. Until somebody comes with an idea how to debrick it, i'l stick to cooking. Thanks guys

After a few days of looking throw the u-boot 1.1.3 from the n1200 gpl i found that the board is MPC8349ADS. This can be seen in the u-boot/boards/mpc8349ads/mpc8349ads.c.
but i couldn't find anything that can help me re flash the board.
Any idea?

I found the cpu points from the pinout, they are as labelled and based on the design of the n1200 and its jtag access, I think / estimate/ accurate guess that the jtag points are r373,r374,r375 and r376.....
Why can't you use serial to reflash whatever you broke ?
Also , you are best to contact Thecus or your RMA dealer either to have them reflash it or to have them tell you exactly where jtag points are ...

Thanks for the info. I lost my warranty papers so contacting the RMA is out of the question. I emailed to thecus support and they aren't offering help for this job.
Regarding what i broke. I didn't pay attention on how the memory is organized. So i modified the u-boot following an example where the memory was organized in 4 block and my thecus was organized in 8 block. I have spoken with somebody that has experiences in repairing PC motherboards. Hopefully this guy may help me. Write know i can't access the serial connection. When i log on using hyperterminal or putty nothing is being shown on the console and a led is blinking (i read that this means that the nas is in jtag mode).
So if u have any idea on how to debrike it using serial please let me know

OK, enough - lets clear this up. - You cant flash it using serial
- You cant flash it using USB
- You cant flash it via ethernet
- You need to flash via a JTAG
- The N1200 does not have a JTAG port
- You are left with tracing the SoC pins. To do this you probably need to remove it. To put it back on you need to be good **and** lucky
- You need to work out how to JTAG it probably by yourself
I think you can write off your N1200.

Are you sure there is no serial ? I'm wondering you screw up the CSB freq. You may try other baud rate to see. The serial clock is tied up to the CSB. If it is not too fast to hang up the ram, you can still run u-boot. The command listed at the miTX UM is good enough for you to overclock. If you really have the budget, just list down exactly what have you done last time, otherwise, the N1200 would crashed again.

Thanks r32190.
I did trued what you said . I get the same crap every time. I did tried all the freq from hyper terminal. none of them worked. No console info or anything.
The power led of my thecus n1200 is blue and the lan led is green.
The lan led is bilking in a odd way. Some short blinks and then a long blink (lights up the hole led).
LAN LED: There is some how a pattern. After some short blinks, the led is hole lighted.
Some how the number of short blinks are random. I counter a max of 4 short blinks and then a hole led light up.
Is it possible for the board to expect a PXE BOOT SERVER through one of the lan ports?
By the way. you can cat the crap about the jtag port. Even if you find the port, the BDI programmer is somewhere between 2000$ an 3000$. So basically , if the user f**ks up the board it has to get another one.
Any way. Maybe somebody will come up with a cheaper way to flash the device. somewhere is this century.
Any idea?

Serial console is a very low level application, no complicated protocol stack as Ethernet or USB. If it doesn't show up anything, that means something real bad happened. A brand new N1200 at HK is less than USD$100. I saw a month old 2nd N1200 is about additional 10% less. hk.f1.page.auctions.yahoo.com/hk/auction/1118199987I suggest you buy a new one or a 2nd hand.
