I bought an N2100 in 2007, and it ran flawlessly for 316 days. I shut it down from the website with no problems, but it wouldn't boot back up.
After some research and some good tech support from Thecus, I decided to buy another N2100.
I flashed the firmware to current and installed just one of my RAID 1 mirrored 500GB drives. No problems - all went well.
Here's the rub. I reinstalled the second 500GB drive, which then required RAID recovery. As I write this, the N2100 has been up for 1 day, 11 hours, but the RAID recovery is only 28% complete. Is this normal?
Another point - the percent completion seems to be tied to me being logged into the N2100 website. IOW, the % completion runs faster when I'm connected. Does this make sense?
TIA for your feedback!

I believe it's normal because it took me about a full day to rebuild my RAID 1 with my two WD 1TB HDD's. It basically is going to depend on the speed of your HDD's.
