After installing Firmware 2.00.10 on my 5200pro without reading the bit about Samsung drives, I emailed Thecus and confessed to being a muppet and asking when 2.00.11 would be available, and if it would fix the samsung issue.
They've replied (very quickly) with N5200upgrade.2.00.11.2.rom
Unfortunately with no details of what changes it contains.
Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas? Should I do it?

they've sent me a few beta's in the past. I went through the pain of backing up everything before appying the 1st but since that went painlessly I never bothered backing up before applying further beta's.
I don't want to give you the impression that it's 100% safe, just that in my experience it was ok.
It's all to do with risk, how much pain would it be if you lost your data vs the pain of backing it up???

Hi Drewy,
I backed up the "must not loose" things, crossed my fingers and went for it...
As you say, painless... It booted back up, found all the drives, and came back online, everything still there, modules, network/user config and most importantly data... *phew*
I haven't tried a switch off/on reboot yet, but I will do later to see if the drives are spotted that way, but the soft reboot found them okay, which is a good sign.

any idea of what it fixes or added features? Well I've only known 2.00.10 before this, and from what I can see after wandering through every menu option I can find, is that it fixes Samsung detection on boot and that's about it. I'm not using any domain or active directory stuff, I just use the basics, FTP, SMB/CIFS, HTTP and NFS for my linux boxes, although as they all have Samba loaded, I couldn't honestly say if they really are using NFS to the Thecus! The only modules I had loaded in 2.00.10 (SSHD and SYSUSER) work fine. I haven't got round to putting your AZUR back on again Drewy (sorry). When I couldn't get logged on with AzSMRC last week I stuck Vuze on my media center PC and just got it to use the 5200 for it's completed files, and that's how it's stayed.
