Ok, O I've spent the last 3 hours trying to get my 3200 to work correctly...
Let me start with that I have a Dlink DI-524 router with wireless.
Obviously the N3200 from Thecus
I've got my dyndns name, filled in the blanks in the n3200, enabled http etc as well.
but I cannot access it via the dyndns name
I've tried port forwarding (virtual server) on my router, didn't work, tried to DMZ the ip of the thecus through my router, didn't work either, and I even tried to enable ddns/dydns in my router, and that didn't work either
I've searched and I've searched and finally found this site but no answer here either..
please help with this, I was going to use this to allow staff of my website to send me their content, access to information, and so I can access information when I'm gone as well...
This doesn't immediately solve your problem, but I have got DDNS working on mine ... so at least I can confirm that there isn't an issue with the N3200.
I am using DynDNS as my DDNS service provider. I did have to turn on DDNS within my router.
I'll check my settings in further detail when I get home and get back to you, but in the mean time you might try getting FTP working, or even remote administration of your router, just to prove that the DDNS mechanism itself is working.
I just checked my router (linksys WRT54GL) and I don't think there is anything all that special set up.
Service: DynDNS.org System: Dynamic User Name: me Password: mypassword Host Name: me.homeip.net Mail Exchange: none Backup MX: No Wildcard: Off Internet IP Address: XX.XX.XX.XXX Status: DDNS is updated successfully
I have a fixed IP for the N3200 and I forward port 80, and 21 to that IP for http and ftp
