Hy all. I am from Romania and here alot of ISP gives net to the users with TTL=1 (time to leave), so the user cann't share on 2 computers the same connection. Write know i am using a linksys wrt54gl having installed openwrt firmware that support iptables. Using iptables i modify the TTL>1 of the internet packages so i can have internet on my desktop an wireless on my laptop. For over a year know i am looking for a device just like n1200 that supports BT client and has the ability to modify the ttl packages.
There are some devices for this caind of jobs but the performances are very low (ex asus wl700ge with 64 ram only). 64 ram for bt client is very low. The router crashes when 4 user conected and BT downloading (i both 1 and sell it after 2 weeks).
So my request is: Is it posible for a firmware with iptables and ttl modify support?

Once again not sure if the default environment supports it, I will let you know how I progress with my Gentoo chroot and any custom kernel I try with it.

Thanks for the reply. i will be waiting for your repply. One more thing. Is it posible to flash a alternate firmware like openwrt or dd-wrt on this device?
i know the thecus n1200 has redboot. Openwrt workd with routers that have cfe.
Or ani other firmware that support iptables

Thecus n1200 doesn't have redboot, it has uboot, it won't support open-wrt firmware, and will only support official thecus firmware or properly made and signed user custom firmware.
