LS,
I installed my N299 I told it to download 4 torrents. I set my router NAT setting to open all ports from 1 to 9999 for the IP-address of the N299.
After two days 0 bytes are downloaded.
Downloading the same torrents on another PC and it immediately started downloading.
Am I doing something wrong? Am I missing something?
Kind regards,
Clemens Linders

I almost forgot to state the obvious.
I pressed start etc. I can pause the download, it just will not start downloading.
Somewhere on these posts I read about a similar problem. The answer was to check IP/Gateway/NAS
Unfortunately it isn't mentioned if that helped or not.
My settings are as follows (I have a router on 192.168.1.1 and my N299 is on static IP 192.168.1.100)
I put the network cable in the top (wan) connector
WAN settings: hostname: N299 domain name: thecus.com mac address: 00:14:FD:11:56:90 jumbo frame: support disable connection type: static ip: 192.168.1.100 netmask: 255.255.255.0 gateway: 192.168.1.1 dns server: 192.168.1.1 (setting made by me) ip sharing mode enabled
LAN settings: MAC address: 00:14:FD:56:91 (1 higher than above?) jumbo frame support: disabled IP: 192.168.2.254 netmask: 255.255.255.0 DHCP server configuration DHCP server: enabled start IP: 192.168.2.1 end ip: 192.168.2.100 dns server: 192.168.1.1
Services:webdisk gttp port: 80 network interface WAN+LAN secure webdisk port: 443 network interface WAN+LAN uPnP: disabled
SMB/CIFS (no idea what it is): enabled workgroup: mygroup (my network has a different group??) wins server ip: empty network interface: wan+lan
I will not state the apple network, as I have a windows network
Well this states about all network settings:
Do I need to make any changes??
Kind regards,
Clemens Linders

Just before I posted my problem I changed dns-server to 192.168.1.1 (=router) it was empty.
AND YES, it is downloading......
So for all new users with the same problem, this probably is the thing you need to change.
