Hi,
i'm currently looking for a NAS solution for my home network. im at the point were i have to admit that the Thecus systems are the only ones i can (or want to) afford. right now i am interested in a N3200 or N3200M (or M3800 as it is named now). After reading tomshardware the 4100 seems to be to loud (i would have liked the 4 driveslot solution).
But there are still some Questions left: - what is the power consumption of the system (with or without drives) - what noiselevel has it?
since the AC is passively cooled the biggest noise should come from the drives. I was planning to use WD Caviar GP drives because they need even less power than the WD RE2-GP. are there better drives for my purpose?
I hope someone here can help me.
