Hi!
As a wish I would appreciate the WPA (better: WPA2) security on the WLAN cards. I purchased a Gigabyte GN-WI01GS card (doing the WPA/WPA2 job perfectly on Windows) but the TheCUS N2100 just offers WEP security. This is really poor, due WEP is not secure for more than just a second! So, please add WPA (WPA2) security to the WLAN interface.

I completely agree, the wifi module could do with being completely replaced and upgraded. It would even allow you to connect to another network, it must act as an access point and this is terrible. Is this also the case in the lastest firmware? i have stayed on 2.1.05 but i am not surprised there has been no improvment from this side.

I am using v2.01.09, that's the latest firmware. So it's still not supported...
But it is designed to work as an AP it even supports a DHCP server on WLAN side.

This is a nice feature, but the chances are that this was not a critical factor when you bought the device. The connectivity options are centred around the ethernet connections that allow the device to be network addressable - is it not sensibile to assume that the optional wireless conectivity would allow the same?
I think that due to the throughput required for a network drive, to assume that it will be able to cope with network traffic routing is not sensibile. The processor can barely cope with high traffic of the ethernet links.
... i wish someone would upgrade or extend the wireless functionality, it would allow my n2100 to be stuck in a couboard somewhere and not stack beside all my network gear.
