Can someone explain how to use an eSATA disk connected to the back of the N3200 please? I can connect and see the drive details through the 'admin' console. I've formatted it and can see that I've got about 300GB. However I don't seem to be able to write anything to it . Using Windows Explorer I can see the NAS unit and the list of top-level folders which includes 'eSATAHDD'. However if I copy anything into that folder it stays on the RAID and doesn't get through to the eSATA disk. Should I have a 'device' folder like under 'USBHDD'? I think I saw something at one point, but not anymore. >> problem solved I can now read/write/modify contents of eSata connected disks. It was simply a case of having patience when connecting the disk and the ejecting it later. I'm still interested in the following though.... Also - when I do get the eSATA disk working, what type of disk format will it be? Would I be able to read the disk directly via Vista or a Linux distro and recover the contents if the N3200 is not available? Thanks
