Hi,
today my Thecus 5200 PRO BR isn't accessible thru the webinterface any more. The folders are still working and I'm able to access the box via ssh too. Severel reboots didn't help. I'm very confused because there were no config changes made since the las successfull usage of the web interface. I'm not very experienced in configuring linux systems so I don't want to play with the configuration of the box via ssh, without getting suggestions from someone who is experienced ;-)
Has anyone an idea what might have happened or better how to fix ist?
Many thanks in advance
Kai

Did you enable the secure web interface? Then try to access it by putting https:// in front of the devices ip address.

arghl.... this hurts... time for suicide. "https" was a very good hint. In an accident this feature was enabled and "http" disabled. Certainly the correct certificate was missing and my browser didn't show me the page.
I'm very sorry for bothering you with such a stupid problem.
Thanks a lot, you saved some of my brown hairs before they turned grey ;-)

Hi fellow Thecus user!
Yesterday I received my N5200Pro and after doing the Quick Start guide and the Setup Wizard I thought I was up and running. Not so... :S
The problem: I can access the N5200Pro through the Setup Wizard. But can't access it through the webinterface. And yes i've tried LAN1 and LAN2 (192.168.1.100 and 192.168.2.254), http, https...it just doesn't seem to work. Any ideas would be very appreciated!
Thanks!
Kind regards,
EYEnstein

Hello, check network setup in general! Is the dhcp of the lan working. Is the computer able to reach: the router, the internet (via ping and http) Things to check: Any firewalls active? - any dns missconfigurations - is the Thecus running in any strange network configuration i.e ip sharing or such - is the Thecus configured for dhcp or static ip - are subnetmask and ip segment of Thecus matching those of your lan which might not be the case? - are other services of Thecus box reachable i.e samba, nfs ftp? Cheers Jeronimo

Logged into the N5200 via Setup Wizard and changed Network Configuration from Static IP to DHCP and pressed the browser button later on. Problem solved! n00bie issue Thanks for the replies!

Hello,
the web interface of my n5200pro is inaccessible, if done the following things but nothing changes:
1. try https:// 2. reset to default 3. use setup wizard to change network setting to dhcp(router recognizes N5200) 4. upgrade firmware to 2.00.18.4
there is no way to reach the web interface.
Any hint for me pls.
Uwe

Hello, find the hint myself. I have used these script: thecususergroup.proboards.com/attachment/download/1 and this firmware file: www.thecus.com/Downloads/N5200_N5200PRO_FW_2.00.04.binput it on a Fat32 Usb-Stick and restart N5200PRO with Stick in the front USB. After N5200PRO beeps and the display says Upgrade Successful remove the Stick. The N5200PRO will start and in the display you could read: START WEB SERVICE. After starting the SetupWizard, make your settings and the web interface is magically back. Have a nice day. Uwe
