Thanks for 7.2 update!
For some reason my currently playing playlist shows album art at full size, is there a fix coming for this, or should I just edit the html files for admin interface?
Fixed by adding [ width="50" height="50"/] inside the image tags on lines 25 & 28 module/SQUEEZECENTER/squeezecenter/HTML/Default/status_list.html
Also, is it possible to make a change so that we can store plugins in a directory outside of modules so they don't get lost during updates?

I think I'm being of a lamer here,
Could someone please explain how I install the new Squeezecenter 7.2 module on my Thecus N5200 Pro?
With the previous Squeezecenter modules (Omega), I just downloaded the files then via the Thecus Web interface, click on System, Module Management, select the .MOD file and Install.
With the latest package there does not appear to be a .MOD file.
I have tried extracting the files and copying them to /raid0/data/module/SQUEEZECENTER but nothing happens (e.g. the module never appears in the Module Management web view.
Please help. I uninstalled version 7.0, and am loathed to re-install.

The package is a mod, windows might have renamed it to zip or something else so change the extension back to .mod and you should be good to go.
To verify I just repulled it and here is what I got:
N5200_SQUEEZECENTER_v7_2.mod

Sorry for the long pause I had to take but I was to busy travelling around the world... I'm happy to see that you're willing to takeover some work of mine and congrats to you - this module is the most difficult of all of them. If you need any hints you're welcome and I'll try to answer them as time permits. Thanks a lot and sorry again for the long silence... Andreas Good to know you're back, people were worried something happened... I'm working on a the new module version for Squeeze Center 7.3, which would allow people to simply untar the new versions into the existing installation, making upgrades simpler. The only problem at the moment is the scanner.pl, which is somehow ran with uid 0 (ie. real uid for the server). That causes problems, since the Artwork directory is created by root and not 'nobody'. Did you do any changes to get around that? If not, there must have been a change in the SC somewhere, which is causing that... Anyway, I fixed it by using sudo to run the scanner, but that causes another problem with cookies.dat, which cannot be found. I'll post the new version soon, so people can test and modify it.

onbeat.dk module wiki updated with the latest version... Please check SlimDevices wiki page for details and instructions. New module uses SC 7.3, and will allow simple upgrades to future versions. Comments and questions welcome.

The 7.3 module does not appear to be available on the SD wiki or the n5200. I'm ready to test!!!

Hi, I have tried to install this module ver. 7.2 on my N5200, and initially everything seems fine. When the module is installed, I browse to the mp3 archive folder and scan it, everything still seems fine. The module finds and indexes all my music, but when I try to play, it wont work. I am using a squeezebox duet system. On my remote the artists and track appear correctly, but they wont play. Could it be something with file rights?
As you probably can tell by now, I am not a very experienced user with either N5200 or Squeezecenter.
Could someone help me with some clues to what I can do to get this fantastic module to work?

Frei, I am not sure whther this is the same issue I have had with SC but there seems to be a issue with a full scan. THe initial scan on installation is a full scan. After a full scan the system becomes unresponsive.
For myself I have found that disabling and enabling the SC module clears the issue up. After that I use do not use the full scan but just look for changes or new music. You do not need to reboot or uninstall just disable and re-enable. I think this issue is being worked on with the new module being developed.

Hi, I have had the same issue you are talking about, very slow response when browsing music on the web interface. My browsing is very quick on both remote and web interface, but none of my music is actually playing. When I click play, it just does not start.. How can I check if the web interface has rights to access and read the files?

OK I made some tests, I installed sysuser and SSHD plugin, and checked file permissions on my music. It turns out owner and group have full permission, but no public permission at all. I used CHMOD to check permissions, flagged 770. I changed permissions for one of my mp3 CD's, and then the album would play fine. Other albums still wouldn't play.
Seems there is a file permissions issue on my system. Does the Squeezecenter plugin use public access to the music?
How can I change this? new music I add gets the same permissions, so in that case I will have to chmod everything I add..

I have installed the 7.3 mod and the artwork problem seems to persist. At first scan the artwork is created, but not during subsequent scans.
Example from log:
[08-09-26 03:36:08.0197] Slim::Networking::IO::Select::select (250) Error: Select task failed: mkdir /raid/data/module/SQUEEZECENTER/system/SlimCache/Artwork/7/3: Permission denied at /raid0/data/module/SQUEEZECENTER/squeezecenter/lib/Cache/FileBackend.pm line 222
Thanks again. Your work is appreciated!
