Thanks for your feedback.
Seemed to be indeed very easy to install.
scp -r /raid/data/<unzipped_package>/* /raid/data/module/SQUEEZECENTER/squeezecenter/Plugins/
Looks very cool, only response of iPeng is very slow ....

Very slow? I have a slight delay since it is a webapp, but overall it's not that bad. I'd call it acceptable/convenient. ;D And I run a faily large collection as well. .5.1 has a big performance boost but we can't go there until SC gets updated. Hoping Omega does that but he hasn't posted on the boards in a month Maybe hes lurking Very slow wouldnt have been the adjective I use Maybe your performance is off for some other reason as most people seem very happy with the iPeng skin. What sort of lag do you see? How do you have your music setup, size, structure tagged etc?

I have about 160GB of MP3's all tagged with embedded cover art. I have structure Artist - Album - Song and I also treid the iTunes structure.
It takes rather long before it has loaded the site and after each selection it takes again pretty long. Though I have a rather fast network performance, it seems that iPeng keeps hanging with loading the site (url).

Im wondering if your trying to sort/index 160GB all at once that causes it.
I'll run some tests in the next day or two. I have 400GB but I sort my music by Genre - Artist - Album...so I'm never loading more then 57GB of music as thats my biggest Genre.
On that one I see a small hit in load times on the inital load compared to the others that (typically 20-30GB) are super fast.
But I could see if you were loading everything all 160Gb there being a hit. I'll run some tests and see what I see and time it etc.

Hi Andreas et al,
I am in the process of upgrading from N2100 (with Squeezecenter 7.1) to N5200 and just realizing that you are still on 7.0.
Any news on the progress of getting 7.1 ready?
Thanks, Valdemar

Andreas hasn't posted to this or the Slim forum in over 6 weeks. He's normally a fairly regular poster so he's either on a kick ass vacation, swamped with work, given up on these forums or something worse (really hope he's ok most importantly). Im building out a media server this weekend with a 1TB drive to replace my Thecus and serve SC. Hope he shows back up or someone else has the skills to create a SC module. If we do someday get 7.2 I can easily enough drop the media server back out etc. But my hopes are quickly fading that an update is coming soon with him being MIA for over 6 weeks now since his last post or even signing into the fourms

Hello everyone,
Since omega stopped updating the module, I decided to take over. I updated the onbeat.dk module page with the version, please let me know if there are any problems.
Enjoy.

NICE! For a first post thats some great news! I'm on the road for work till later this week but Thursday night I'll do the upgrade! If anyone updates to this I am really really curious to know if SC still prevents spindown on the Thecus.

Hello everyone, Since omega stopped updating the module, I decided to take over. I updated the onbeat.dk module page with the version, please let me know if there are any problems. Enjoy. I have installed and so far so good. The issue with the previous release where response was slow after a full scan seems to be gone. All SD devices updated firmware without issue. Scan took 27 minutes for 16,000 tracks - about standard. Internet Radio working fine. Overall so far looks good. Will update any issue found. Good work!!

Thanks guys for picking up the development / testing effort in getting SC 7.2 released on the Thecus N5200.
I am working away from home this week, but will install and test this weekend.

Hello everyone, Since omega stopped updating the module, I decided to take over. I updated the onbeat.dk module page with the version, please let me know if there are any problems. Enjoy. Sorry for the long pause I had to take but I was to busy travelling around the world... I'm happy to see that you're willing to takeover some work of mine and congrats to you - this module is the most difficult of all of them. If you need any hints you're welcome and I'll try to answer them as time permits. Thanks a lot and sorry again for the long silence... Andreas
