OK, so I am able to find the Thecus 3200 by trying to add a network drive. I get a window saying: Connecting to ***.***.***.*** (address of the Thecus) User-name Password OK first question, I have read the manual and such but for the love of me, I can't figure out which user-name/password combination to put... The PCs or the Thecus's admin account or? Logically, it seems like the PCs so that's what I do. But even if I do this, I get another window asking for more info... Connecting to ***.***.***.*** (address of the Thecus) User-name (JEHEC-PC2\administrateur) --> domain name \ admin account Password And this is where I'm really stuck. No matter how many times I put the password, it just keeps on asking me over and over and over the same question. I can connect and upload / download via the web interface but it's tedious and for moving folders and such, I'd really love to get this feature working. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi dude,
first: RTFM.
Created a user in the thecus webinterface and give them a password. Then put this user in the ACL list of the share you want. If you dont understand this than read the manual. With my english I cant say it better, sorry.
Benny.

I read the manual several times but it's no clearer... I said so in my original post.
This is the step where I'm sorta stuck...
6. Click Finish. When the Connect As… window appears, enter your user name and password. 7. Click OK. The share folder appears as the drive you assigned. You can now access this folder as though it were a drive on your computer.
Well I tried the PC username / password, no luck. Next I tried the username / password for the admin account on the Thecus, no luck. After that I tried, as you have mentioned, a user I had created from the web interface but to no avail...
I know I suck and this must be a nooby question but any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Right click on the "My Desktop" icon, select "Map network drive".
Drive : choose a letter you want to assign to your share Folder : N2100IpOrN2100NetbiosName\TheFolderYouWantToShare
Tick the check box "Reconnect when windows start" Click on the "Connect under a different user name" link.
A new dialog box just appear : User name : a thecus user name account which have some rights on the previous folder selected Password : the thecus account password Press ok. Press terminate.
Sorry for the translation, my windows langage is french.
