Hi, a quick "How-To" for all the people wanting to add a username/pw to the WebInterface and change other things in the configuration.
Requirements: ssh access to your box, Azureus module set-up and working
1) Disable the Azureus mod on the module page 2) SSH to your box 3) run Azureus in console mode with:
./java -jar ../../azureus/Azureus2.jar --ui=console from the /raid/data/module/AZUR/system/bin/jre/bin directory
4) Now you can read/write a whole lot of parameters using the "set" command (wildcards supported). The syntax is like this:
set variable value [type]
ommit value and the console will display the currently set value for this variable.
5) Things you might want to change now:
Add a username/password to the HTML interface:
set Plugin.azhtmlwebui.User yourusername set Plugin.azhtmlwebui.Password yoursecretpassword password set "Plugin.azhtmlwebui.Password Enable" true boolean
The password/boolean parts in the commands tell the config the type of the variable, don't forget it!
Change the port the WebUI is listening on:
set Plugin.azhtmlwebui.Port 12345
Change the port the main program is listening on [for incoming connections]:
set TCP.Listen.Port 50000 set UDP.Listen.Port 50000
6) Once you are happy with the settings type "quit" to shut down Azureus, disconnect the SSH connection and enable the module again. If you followed the instructions (and I made no typo) all should be set now and ready to go!
Merry Christmas, Hanukkah etc. etc.
Thomas

On dec. 24 AzSMRC 1.0.0 plugin was released. I don't seem to be able to get it running on my N5200. I've copied the old .jars to another folder, and put the new jars in /raid0/data/module/AZUR/system/bin/azureus/plugins/azsmrc. Any ideas of why this isn't working? I've even replaced swt.jar with the latest build, not that that did anything...

First Issue. About the login tutorial Ive managed to do most of the commands expect the one changing the web interface port what doesn't matter because i always can change that using azsmrc client. Ive done exactly what is told, but i dont get some window or web interface which asks for username and password.
second issue Azureus tells me there is a update available 4.0.04 do i have to update.. do i have to do that? and if yes has somebody a tutorial which i can follow?

shinger,
I have not used the web interface with password protection so I can't comment on that.
As regards the 4.0.0.4 upgrade, just send it to the server when prompted by AzSRMC. Once it has been downloaded wait another 10-20 minutes for the upgrade to "run" and then restart (stop & start) the AZUR module. That should do it.

Hi, you can check if all values are correctly stored by getting into the Azureus console and try the set command without values: set Plugin.azhtmlwebui.User set Plugin.azhtmlwebui.Password set "Plugin.azhtmlwebui.Password Enable"
it should display the current values and types (string, password, boolean) for each value. Cheers, Thomas

Hanstor,
The new AzSRMC module is a no go at the moment. It needs java 1.6, Azureus won't run (well it does run but won't download anything) with 1.6, since the Java folks have made some changes to the jvm. Java 1.6 assumes that all 2.6 kernels can use epoll, whereas it's either not compiled into our kernel or the glibc libs aren't upto the required builds.

Thanx Can somebody please answer my question? ? short answer is yes, BUT it may not work You can either replace the existing azureus directory structure on the thecus with the version you require, try using winscp. Or you could uninstall the module and hack the contents to the module to the version you want. The .mod file is just a gzipped TAR file, so you could open it with 7-zip (on windows) and rebuilt it with that.

Ok, thanx Il'll try the second suggestion first, but I cant find a version that fits the folder structure of the mod file How do I get to the /lib/modules directory using winscp?

Cheers, Thomas I've did typed some commands in but its just an example if i get it im going to change it. in the last sentence is something wrong and i think because i shouldnt use boolean but instead string. Ive done that too but i get the same output. set Plugin.azhtmlwebui.User admin >Parameter 'Plugin.azhtmlwebui.User' set to 'admin'. [string] set Plugin.azhtmlwebui.Password test password >Parameter 'Plugin.azhtmlwebui.Password' set to 'test'. [password] set "Plugin.azhtmlwebui.Password Enable" true boolean usage: 'set "parameter" value type', where type = int, bool, float, string, password
