This is my first bash at a module and yes I know there are other torrent modules out there, I happen to like Azureus beta is at www.drewy.com/download_doc.aspx?doc_id=128It is big I'm gonna be away on business for the next week and a bit...please let me know of any problems with the mod and I'll try and sort them on my return. Then I'll stick it on the wiki. Thanks to omega for his framework!

If any one has an idea in drewy's absence please let me know :-)
Thanks again!!

sorry about that azsmrc client details: ip address of your 5200, default port, username admin, password azsmrc (both defaults). When you connect with the client for the first time goto Tools, Preferences, Azureus Remote, Files and change the default data directory to where you want the downloaded torrents to go to. If you leave it as default they are gonna go to \root which isn't gonna be too good Webclient runs on default port of 6886. There is a "bug" with the module disable script, I had a few probs trying to get it to reliably shutdown Azureus. So in my haste to get this posted before I leave for a week I have it currently killing all running java processes. Not a problem unless you have java running for something else (tomcat etc). I will endevour to fix this on my return. cheers

Hi drewy,
Thanks for the quick response!
Tried what you said, azsmrc wont connect, keeps failing.
What is the default port, mine shows 49009, is that correct?
I have tried both https and without, no luck.
Web client works a treat though on 6886!
Look forward to your reply (no hurry)
Thanks agains John

Try disabling, re-enabling the module. Check that windows firewall on your client (or any other firewall) is not blocking the client.
Another thing to try is ssh to the 5200 goto the raid\data\module\AZUR\bin\azureus\plugins\azsmrc and you should see a *.xml file, delete that and restart the mod.
If that don't fix it let me know and I'll try and re-produce (I did initialy have this problem, but thought I'd fixed it.).
Failing that I take a look next weekend, have to skip to airport in 30 mins....
Anyone else have problems?

I can log in to a web interface on port 6886, and some java interface on port 49009. But I can't find any settings on either to alter the default download folder. Without changing that, I havn't attempted to download any torrents.

have you tried connecting with the azsmrc client and using that to change the default download location?

I wasn't aware there was a specific client, I'd just been connecting via a browser. Using that client I can make the changes to default download directory, but it comes up with the following error when I try to add a torrent:
{lbms.azsmrc : ERROR} Remote Exception: DownloadManager::addDownload: default torrent save directory must be configured
I've already got a print server / torrenting box to do all my torrenting at the moment, but I was looking for a way consolidate that onto my thecus. Until this becomes as powerful and simple to use as my current utorrent webui set up, I can't find a use for it. Incidentally, running this client alone on my pc uses more memory than ever running utorrent.

OK thanks for the reply.
Does the directory you are setting as default actually exist?
I'm using something like \raid\data\stuff\download where "stuff" is setup as a shared folder within the 5200 and download is a sub directory of that.
I haven't looked at memory consumption of the client component, but since this is a standard azureus client any problems with it are far outside the scope of this module. I'm well aware that azureus (being a java app) is far from a "light" application. However I like it and so am trying to produce a module that may be of use to some other users, but it obviously won't suit everyone.

Any step by step instructions on this?
I installed the module but can't seem to configure the destination path for the downloads as suggested. I was able to connect to a Java config screen on port 49009 which is no longer accessible for some reason.
On port 6886, I'm able to add torrents but they don't start. I installed the Azareus plug in but it only makes connection to the local install.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

OK I should have included some instructions in the first place. I will produce some.
I have noticed a problem that the remote client interface doesn't always start, I think I have this fixed but haven't updated the mod file as yet. I've also noticed that specific preferences are not saved between module re-starts, once I figure out (& fix) this issue, I'll package a new version and produce some basic install/config documentation.
This is probably going to take a few days. I'm removing the "old" version for now too.

I've tried both on Mac and PC but couldn't seem to get the AzSRMC Wizard/connect to server screen to come up. Can anyone help me get to this screen? Thanks

So you actaully have the azsmrc client installed & and can't get a connection dialog to show up ?

Correct! All I get is a log on screen, once logged on I get a default path which is only local. I created a new user and still didn't get the wizard. Can you tell me about your Azureus and AzSMRC's version?
Thanks
