Hi,
I just bought an N3200 and 500gb drives for it (meager by some standards..... I know) but I was very excited and couldn't wait to get it going.
The setup :
>array auto built... fair enough
>when array build finished I installed the firmware from the supplied cd which is version # 1.0.00.1 (incidentally this version is not available on the Thecus site)
> I went through the configs and started to copy all data from my old N2100 to the N3200 (left it for a few hours)
> I went to check on it and noticed the N3200 had auto rebooted and was 34% through rebuilding the array again !!!!!
> I waited until the rebuild finished and found some data had been copied (but not all) so I went to copy the rest again and left it for a while.
>when I returned I saw the N3200 had apparently rebooted but had gotten stuck on the boot (according to the lcd screen)
>I left it for about 90 mins but with no change I had to pull the power plug as none of the buttons would work i.e. tried the power button etc
>now I try to boot it again and it hangs in the same spot. I have tried pulling the power & leaving overnight before turning it back on, I've tried booting without the hdds inside, and I've also tried the reset button on the back but nothing works.
The 2 lines of the LCD screen just shows the following:
uP Ver:010
Booting...
It seems my N3200 is now a new, funky looking paperweight. Any ideas ?? this is really frustrating. Thecus have dropped the ball here.
I've logged a support ticket but no response yet.
I have Western Digital WD5000AAKS drives
Thanks in advance for any help/advice
