I've researched getting a new NAS for the home office and came across the Thecus N3200.
It seems like a great box for the price and for what it offers.
I was about to pull the trigger and order one through a site that was listed as a reseller for Thecus. I decided to call the reseller and ask a question since Thecus's two US numbers listed would not answer.
After getting in contact with the reseller, I told her I was interested in the Thecus N3200. She stopped me dead in my tracks and said do not but that device.
She explained that she has sold so many of the N3200s and a majority of buyers are calling back with problems. I asked her what type of issues are users experiencing and she said, "RAID5 array are rebuilding on their own."
Thecus, we need you to fess up and let us know what's going on with this device. For a reseller of Thecus to want to pull this specific model off their website, there has to be some serious problems with the N3200. Please fill us in as potential buyers and existing owners.

Perhaps thecus need to offer up free units to some of the members here.
I'm sure that someone like getmythe, for example, could sort out a lot of the problems that people are encountering with their units.

What reseller did you call? At least they are being frank.

The only reseller that sells the N3200.
So is anyone from Thecus going to chime in on this topic?

I had this happed to me as well!
By-and-large the unit has been stable but when I tried turning it on before the scheduled up time, the RAID started to rebuild ... I believe it started right at the time the up-time was scheduled for.
I haven't had time to research the issue further but thought I'd add my voice to the chorus.

Anyone get any positive experiences of it. Its either Thecus or QNAP not sure who to grace with my hard earned cash.
